Women who have experienced trauma and grief often struggle to find joy. I know! I was one of them. I know what it is like to try to come back from something so traumatic that you feel like you won’t ever be happy or feel joy again.
Does any of the following sound familiar?
- You are haunted by your past traumas and grief – you find yourself building emotional (and sometimes physical) walls to shield you from more pain, burying your emotions and isolating yourself from loved ones – all to keep yourself “safe”. But it doesn’t.
- Your fear of feeling your emotions controls you – fear that if you start crying your tears will never stop, fear that you will lash out in anger on innocent people, or fear that if you start to feel your darkest emotions you will relive your trauma. Your fear keeps you trapped in your past.
- You feel guilty for feeling what you feel (eg., shame, resentment, relief, anger, frustration), believing you will be judged for your feelings, so you ignore them and push them down.
- You feel guilty for seeking happiness believing that you don’t deserve to be happy.
The IMPACT of the above:
- You feel “less than”, “not enough”, full of self-doubt
- Your self-confidence takes a nose-dive
- You fear success or happiness
- You don’t know who you truly are
- You may suffer from depression, anxiety, sleeplessness, inability to make decisions, confusion, easily irritated, quick to anger, quick to tears, or other physical ailments
Sometimes you don’t even recognize that you have suffered trauma and grief, especially if it wasn’t a catastrophic event (such as failing a test or not getting a promotion), which leaves you in the dark for even knowing you need to address it.
No wonder you think joy is unattainable! But it IS possible, and that’s where I come in.
“I empower women to feel so worthy that they can’t help but live a life of joy and passion.”

“I spent my entire personal and professional life in duty/service with the end goal of helping others feel comfortable, satisfied, and safe. As a director of nursing, the pandemic brought abundant challenges to our way of life, and the imposed safeguards brought so much public reaction of vehement anger and blame. It finally broke me. A year after I retired- I still couldn’t talk about Covid without crying. My son urged me to seek help… I begrudgingly agreed. Enter EVOLV coaching. 12 weeks later, I am a believer! Margaret facilitated EXACTLY what her web-site states. “… gentle and loving coaching … supportive and challenging, …to connect to your deepest emotions…finally release the death-grip that your past experiences … allowing…Joy …” Through Margaret’s mastery of individualization, I have for the first time in my life, discovered what lightness-of-being feels like for me. The most impressive part, though, is that I have absorbed and integrated the knowledge, understanding, and tools discovered during Margaret’s coaching to enable me to continue my journey toward and in joy. I carry it with me, in me. Words cannot express the gratitude I have, nor the beauty and wonder of Margaret’s work. Thank You!”

“My guidance session with Margaret was next level. I made shifts that I didn’t expect to make, and with Margaret’s guidance, I feel like I’m being propelled toward my true destiny. I’ve never had someone see me so completely in a coaching session before and that really helped get past the awkwardness of having to explain where I’m coming from. Instead, Margaret was able to see the flow of where I am and where I need to get to and the best path between the two.”

“Margaret is a very talented and natural coach. Her values-centered guidance challenged me to think both personally and professionally and allowed me to dig deep into what was and is of real value to me. She focused on my strengths, my passions and what my main drivers are in my life. Her uplifting, positive, and fun personality make her easy to open up to and wonderful to work with. She is not only an amazing coach but also a caring mentor, and the strategies, lessons and guidance she has provided to me have inspired and motivated me to live my life which balances both my values and passions. Margaret is truly one-of-a-kind, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for an intuitive, sincere, and deeply passionate coach.”
